ARE THERE ANY CLIMBING RESTRICTIONS?
The minimum climbing age is 4 years old. We also operate a minimum height restriction of 120cm for the vertical drop slide and the leap of faith. Please kindly note that the maximum weight restriction is 150kg.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR AND DO I NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT?
Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers. Open toed shoes, climbing shoes, boots or high-heeled shoes are not permitted in the climbing arena. Long hair must be tied back and all loose jewellery, hats or hooded tops must be removed prior to climbing for safety reasons. You do not need to bring or hire any additional climbing equipment.
CAN MIXED AGES CLIMB TOGETHER?
Yes! That’s the beauty of the Clip ‘n Climb experience. All ages and abilities are welcome and can climb in the arena together during our climbing sessions provided they are aged 4 and above. We additionally run Nippers ‘n Clippers Sessions at 11:00 am midweek during term-time and 9:00 am weekends in which children from 2 to 7 can climb together.
The centre offers 46 climbing challenges of varying difficulty, so there will be something for everybody to enjoy. If you are interested to hold a private group climbing session, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
DO I NEED TO STAY WITH MY CHILD IF I’M NOT CLIMBING?
DO I NEED TO TAKE PART IN THE SAFETY BRIEF IF I'VE VISITED OTHER CLIP 'N CLIMB CENTRES BEFORE?
Yes, even for frequent users, our pre-climbing safety briefing and harnessing is compulsory for everyone before every climb.
HOW LONG DO CLIP 'N CLIMB SESSIONS LAST?
90 minutes – this comprises of 30 minutes safety briefing and harnessing and 60 minutes in the climbing arena. Some sessions do differ slightly – e.g. Toddler sessions and Clip ‘n Fit.
I’VE NEVER CLIMBED BEFORE - WILL THERE BE ANY INSTRUCTORS TO HELP ME?
The great thing about Clip ‘n Climb Ipswich is that absolutely anybody can enjoy the experience, with or without prior experience. To understand how simple it is, check out this short video explain how our auto-belay technology works – you literally Clip and Climb!
All climbing sessions are supported by our own instructors. They will talk you through all safety aspects, our climbing arena rules, and how to use the auto belay system during your briefing. Our instructors will also ensure that your harness is fitted correctly, and then be available throughout your climbing session to offer assistance and guidance where needed.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING TIMES?

Tues – Thurs – 10:00am – 2:00pm, 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday – 10:00am – 8:00pm
Weekends – 9:00am – 7:00pm
Mon – Sun 9:00am – 4:00pm
Café Opening Times:
Our café is open every day from the start of the first climbing session and closes for last orders at 6:30pm every day.
DO YOU PROVIDE CAR PARKING?
Yes, we have 2 car parks! One is at the front of our centre when you arrive, and a larger car park can be found behind our centre. We also have lots of bicycle racks behind our centre too.
DO YOU HAVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?
Yes, we have two disabled toilets on both our ground and first floor. A wheelchair access lift connects both floors.
DO YOU HAVE FACILITIES FOR BABIES?
Both our ground floor and first floor toilets have baby changing facilities and highchairs are available in our cafe.
WHAT FOOD AND DRINK IS AVAILABLE?
Good question! We have an amazing cafe & diner located on our mezzanine floor overlooking our climbing arena. The menu consists of all your favourite hot and cold drinks, snacks, and cooked food options throughout the day.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINK INTO THE CENTRE?
Unfortunately not. All food and drink must be purchased from our cafe, although a water fountain is provided within the climbing arena for hard-working thirsty climbers.
Please note birthday cakes cannot be consumed within our centre unless you are part of a Clip ‘n Climb Ipswich organised party in our designated party rooms.
WHAT OTHER FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE AT THE CENTRE?
We have a locker area in which personal belongings can be safely stored. There are also shower and changing facilities on the ground floor opposite the toilets.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLIMBING SESSION?
Standard climbing sessions must be booked online through our website. We highly recommend during peak times, such as weekends and school holidays, that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. For all birthday parties, large group bookings and events, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
CAN I CANCEL OR AMEND MY BOOKING?
Cancellations or amendments for standard bookings can be made up until 48 hours before your scheduled climbing slot – please email full details to email@example.com.

WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your climbing session start time so that we can check you in at Reception. You will be asked to wait in a designated area on the ground floor – a member of the arena team will collect climbers to begin the safety briefing.
HOW DO I USE THE SOFT PLAY?
Our soft play is located upstairs within our cafe. It is for children aged 7 and under and costs £5.
You must purchase a soft play wristband from the cafe before entering, and abide by all our soft play rules listed in the cafe.
HOW DO I FIND YOU?
Enter The Havens on Ransomes Europark, follow straight pass David Lloyd and over the roundabout, continue on past Haven Power and take the next left onto Berwick Road. We are situated directly left of the Makro entrance and opposite the Basepoint Business Centre. You will see a large Clip ‘n Climb Ipswich sign on our building. We have a small car park in front of our building and a large car park directly behind.
I DIDN'T RECEIVE MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Sometimes, booking confirmations can be emailed to spam/junk folders so please check there first. If still not found, please email firstname.lastname@example.org the name you booked under together with the date and time and we will be able to forward you a copy.
I'm not sure if the payment for my booking was processed
My gift voucher code isn't working
Please ensure to enter your code into the gift voucher code box (not the discount section) when booking online and that your code is still valid. If this still doesn’t work, please email into email@example.com with the voucher code and we can investigate the matter for you.
I'm unable to proceed on the booking page when selecting climbers
Are you trying to add a toddler onto the session? If so, unless you’re booking a specific toddler session, the booking system will not allow you to proceed as climbers need to be above the age of 4.
