It’s widely recognised that even small amounts of regular exercise can have huge benefits for our mental health. It can boost our mood, help relieve stress and anxiety, give us more energy, stimulate the growth of more brain cells and helps prevent age-related decline.

Safety is paramount

Clip ‘n Climb Ipswich uses the TruBlu Belay System for each climbing challenge. This is a device that has revolutionised the climbing industry and its safety record is second to none.
All climbing sessions include a full safety briefing which detail the safety elements of the arena and how to clip yourself in – this is such a simple mechanism that even young children are able to do it autonomously. With its simplicity of use and internal mechanism which uses the Eddy currents braking system, you can’t go wrong! As soon as a climber decides to come off the wall, the belay system lowers you down slowly and safely to the arena floor. One of the hardest challenges is the initial ‘letting go’, but after a couple of attempts, the sensation of coming down is great and leaves climbers wanting to do it all over again!

Great feedback

Stuart, one of the arena leaders at Clip ‘n Climb Ipswich is 54 and has seen first hand the benefits that can be gained with regular climbing, particularly when recovering from a serious shoulder injury.
It’s great to see so many over 50’s having fun while exercising, and the feedback we’ve had so far has been fantastic with many returning every week.
