NICAS COURSES
We are thrilled to announce that we have now been officially recognised and accredited by the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) to deliver various climbing courses for children and teenagers.
We offer both Foundation and Advanced NICAS Clip courses which aim to introduce new climbers safely into the indoor climbing environment, develop awareness of climbing movements, improve confidence and create a pathway into additional climbing activities.
The foundation and advanced courses cost £85 which include the NICAS log book (RRP £10). NICAS is a nationally recognised climbing award – children receive a log book and candidate number which is completed each week by an instructor. Parents can access an individual NICAS portal to view progress, download certificates and access NICAS information.
NICAS Foundation is focussed on learning climbing technique and skills through games and floor based activities – children will not be spending their whole session on the walls.
Children are required to complete the Foundation course to progress onto the NICAS Advanced Levels.
We offer a limited number of spaces of 10 children per session time.

…HOW TO BOOK
To book your place on the NICAS Courses (Foundation & Advanced), please press the book now button below. This will take you through to our booking page, please select the day you would like to sign up for (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 16:30 (F) and 17:00 (A) ). Once selected, you will make a one off payment of £85 and this will sign you up the next NICAS course. Please note that children need to complete the Foundation Level before booking onto the Advanced Level.
AFTER BOOKING YOUR SPACE
Once you have completed your booking and paid for the NICAS course, you can quite simply turn up on the day of the first session. You will receive a booking confirmation – please read the terms & conditions of the booking and sign the waiver before the club starts.
NICAS courses will generally last for 6 week blocks during school term-time (on occasions 5 weeks, although 6 hours will be completed in this time). On signing up your child, you agree to pay the club fee in advance of the club starting. Please kindly note that any missed sessions due to illness or general absence are non-refundable.
Children will need to wear trainers and comfortable clothing, such as shorts/leggings and a t-shirt. Please ensure all jewellery is removed and any long hair is tied back. Children can bring a water bottle for each session.
