What & when is a toddler session?
Toddler sessions run at 11:00am midweek term-time Tuesday to Friday. Toddler sessions are shorter in length (45 mins) and are designed for children aged 2 – 4 years. We additionally run Nippers ‘n Clippers sessions at 9:00am & 9:30am on weekends and week days during school holidays for 2 – 7 year olds, allowing slightly older siblings to climb together. We include free access to the 3-tier soft play located on the cafe floor for all children on the Toddler & Nippers ‘n Clippers sessions. Children will wear a specially fitted harness and will be shown climbing walls suitable for their age and ability – children can discover the colourful climbing arena, finding characters and toys located in and on the walls! There are friendly staff on hand to help and assist your little ones, although we request all under 4s are accompanied by an adult at all times.

What do children gain from the toddler sessions?
Every child is different and will experience the sessions in various ways – there are no set targets for toddler sessions. We aim for all children to have a great experience with us – the arena and soft play area are extremely colourful, interactive and will aid your toddler in developing sensory skills as well as coordination. We aim to interact with your little one and help them grow in confidence, meeting new people and children alike. For first time, younger climbers, the walls may be seem a little daunting but progression is easily seen within a few visits. Should children feel more secure, parents and carers are also able to put on a harness and help their child in climbing. The soft play area offers a great space for children to play in afterwards whilst grown ups can enjoy a coffee or a spot of lunch.
